Turner & Son - Bike from Bristol to Devon!

My Dad and I are cycling from Bristol City Centre to Ilfracombe, in North Devon

DATE:

My name is Andrew Turner. My wife, Isabelle, tragically lost her cousin, Billie Elizabeth Wood, on the 13th May 2020, aged just 25.

Billie suffered a Sub-Arachnoid Haemorrhage (SaH). After fighting for 6 days in ITU, she suffered from what’s known as a ‘Vasospasm’ which caused a stroke and lost her life.

She was 25 years old. Fit and healthy with no pre-existing conditions.

BEWT (Billie Elizabeth Wood Trust) has been established with the goal of preventing a tragedy like this from ever happening again. There are significant gaps in research around Vasospasms, and there is an opportunity to reduce the associated risks. The mission of the charity is to raise money to fund ongoing essential research.

To raise money for BEWT, My Dad, Stephen Turner, and I are going to attempt to cycle from Bristol City Centre to Ilfracombe, in North Devon. It's a 120-mile journey which requires us to go over the Mendips and Exmoor National Park, notoriously hilly parts of the West Country!

We would be delighted if you would like to support us in reaching our target of £2,500.

Thank You
